Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Yacht damage covered by insurance company up to security deposit amount. Charterer covers repairs up to deposit amount.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~30 HP engine burn roughly 2.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 50 L ≈ €98 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

The skipper must hold an adequate competency certificate and, by signing, confirms the skills to handle the yacht safely. If we feel the skipper is not capable, we can arrange a professional skipper for an extra charge, or ask that the yacht only be used with one.

You may sail within Greek waters only, and you must obey all customs and local regulations. The yacht may not be sublet, lent to others, or used for commercial purposes or professional fishing.

You may sail at night only in safe weather conditions. If continued sailing becomes impossible for any reason, contact the base manager immediately for instructions.

Yes. Please check the engine oil and water every day. Damage caused by a lack of oil or water in the engine is not insured and would be charged to you.

For any serious damage, especially if other vessels are involved, write down the whole incident, have all parties sign it, and report it to the base manager and nearest harbour master, notifying us immediately. Unreported damage may be charged to you in full.
