Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~54 HP engines burn roughly 4.3 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 90 L ≈ €176 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

Yes. We may ask you and your crew to demonstrate your competence by handling the yacht at sea with us aboard. If we are not satisfied, we can place an experienced seaman on board at your expense for as long as we judge necessary for safety.

Yes. The yacht must stay within Greek waters, and we ask that you do not leave port or anchorage when the wind is or is forecast to be over Beaufort 6, when the authorities have banned sailing, or when any vital equipment is not in good order. Night sailing requires all navigation lights working and a sufficient watch on deck.

No. The yacht is for your private pleasure only, so racing and towing other vessels are not allowed except in a genuine emergency.

No. No professional crew member who has been paid for their services may be on board, and none may be added during the charter without our prior written agreement. Your party must include at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member.

Yes. Please plan your cruise so you reach your furthest port within the first third of the charter, and so that in the final two days you are no more than 40 nautical miles from the return point.
