Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Client liable for all damage except normal wear and tear up to EUR 150.

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

Pets such as dogs, cats or birds may only come aboard with our prior written consent, so please ask us before booking if you'd like to bring an animal along.

We may ask you to demonstrate your competence by sailing the yacht with our representative present. If we feel the boat isn't in safe hands, we'll arrange a professional skipper at the listed rate, and the yacht cannot leave port until that's sorted.

If you'd like to sail beyond Greek territorial waters, please tell us as early as possible and confirm in writing at least 45 days before your charter, so we can arrange the additional insurance. The extra cost is yours.

For safety, please don't leave port if the wind is expected to exceed 25 knots or if the port authorities have banned departures. In gale-force conditions, let us know your exact location so we can assist if needed.

Please don't take part in races or regattas without our written consent, carry more passengers than your crew list, operate the yacht under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or fish without a valid licence. Holding tanks should only be emptied at sea, at least one nautical mile from land.
