Port of Sfakia

1.0 (1 reviews)

The Port of Sfakia sits at the foot of the White Mountains in one of Crete's most rugged and unspoiled corners, making it a natural launchpad for exploring the coastline by sea. From here you can hop over to the car-free village of Loutro — only reachable by boat or foot — or use it as a base for the gorges and coastal trails that this wild stretch of southern Crete is famous for. It's a small, no-frills port, but the dramatic cliffs dropping straight into the Libyan Sea more than make up for any lack of luxury amenities.
