Zerostrasse

Zerostrasse is a genuinely cool slice of Pula's wartime past — a network of underground tunnels dug during World War I to shelter the city's population from bombardment. You can walk through the preserved passages and get a real sense of what life was like beneath the streets during wartime. It's one of those places that surprises you with how much history is hiding right under a modern city.
