The Bastion

Es Baluard is Palma's contemporary art museum built dramatically into the old Renaissance city walls, with sweeping views over the bay. The collection spans 800+ works from the late 19th century to today — paintings, sculptures, photography — and the building itself is half the draw, seamlessly merging a 16th-century bastion with modern architecture. Well worth a few hours if you want something beyond beaches and cathedrals.
