Emanuel Vidović Gallery

A memorial gallery tucked inside Diocletian's Palace dedicated entirely to Emanuel Vidović, a Split-born painter (1870) whose atmospheric, almost dreamlike canvases capture the soul of Dalmatia like nothing else you'll see here. It sits right between the Silver Gate and the Peristil, so it's easy to stumble into — and worth doing so. Intimate and unhurried, it's a rare chance to go deep on one artist's full life's work rather than a broad collection.
