Perched atop the Senglea fortifications, the Gardjola is a historic guard tower (vedette) carved with eyes, ears, and cranes — symbols of watchfulness dating back to the Knights of St. John. The surrounding garden offers some of the most jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Grand Harbour you'll find anywhere in Malta. It's quiet, a little hidden, and feels genuinely special — popular for weddings and picnics, but never overwhelmingly crowded.
