This is the parking area for Ancient Thera, sitting at the top of the winding road that climbs up from Kamari to the archaeological site. You drive up the switchbacks and leave your car here before exploring the ruins — it's a no-frills spot, improvised and limited in space, so getting there early in the morning makes a real difference. Note that as of May 2025 it was reported closed, so check ahead before making the drive up.
