Fort Berkeley is the oldest fortification in English Harbour, dating all the way back to 1704 when it was built by the colonial government and staffed by gunners to defend the harbor entrance. The 2.5-mile out-and-back hike to get there rewards you with stunning bird's-eye views of both English and Falmouth Harbours, plus sweeping vistas of Antigua's southern coast — genuinely one of the best panoramas on the island.
