Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Damage Waiver is mandatory non-refundable fee that mitigates financial liability for yacht damage, equipment loss, or harm caused by third parties
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~110 HP engine burn roughly 8.8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 185 L ≈ €361 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Do we need a sailing licence for a skippered or crewed charter?
No licence is required when you book a skippered or crewed charter, as a qualified skipper takes care of handling the yacht for you. Licensing and proven navigation skills are only needed for bareboat charters.
Can you arrange provisioning and airport transfers?
Yes, provisions and transfer services from the airport to the base are available on request, so just let us know what you'd like and we'll help organise it.
What does the end cleaning fee cover?
The compulsory end cleaning fee covers cleaning, cooking gas, water and linen including sheets, pillowcases and bath towels. The exact amount depends on your yacht's cabin configuration and type.
Might our booked yacht change before we arrive?
We reserve the right to reassign your booking to another yacht before the charter start date if needed, so you can still set off as planned.
