About this boat

THE BOAT Aboard the Lagoon 43 Aurora Blue, luxury and functionality meet in a refined, inviting environment. Double cabins with private bathrooms, a panoramic lounge, and an open-plan kitchen turn sailing into the experience of a floating suite. From the flybridge lounge to the aft cockpit, every space invites you to live the sea with style and freedom. The Lagoon 43 features a spacious panoramic salon with 360° windows that flood the interior with natural light. The fully equipped L-shaped kitchen opens directly onto the aft cockpit, creating a seamless indoor–outdoor living area. Every detail is designed for maximum relaxation, conviviality, and privacy when desired. The cabins are true floating suites: bright, airy, with elegant finishes and ample storage. Every element contributes to the onboard comfort. The flybridge — the yacht’s signature feature — offers a raised helm station, sun loungers, and comfortable seating, creating the ideal spot for socializing or enjoying a peaceful sail. At the bow, the classic net between the hulls invites you to relax suspended above the water, the perfect place for sunbathing or dolphin watching. The aft cockpit, shaded and spacious, is the heart of open-air life onboard. THE ISLANDS Sailing by catamaran along western Sicily means discovering a sea of extraordinary beauty, where unspoiled islands and charming coastal destinations coexist in perfect balance. The Aegadian Islands, one of the largest protected marine areas in Europe, are renowned for their crystal-clear waters, vibrant seabeds, and landscapes that feel timeless. Favignana, Levanzo, and Marettimo rise from the Mediterranean like natural gems. Emerald coves, hidden caves, rugged coastlines, and small harbors with enduring charm define each island. Favignana offers a refined balance between lively energy and natural beauty. Levanzo enchants with its quiet, authentic atmosphere. Marettimo captivates with wilder landscapes, dramatic cliffs, and a sense of true exclusivity. The journey also extends along the coast, enriching the itinerary with iconic destinations of western Sicily. Scopello charms visitors with its historic tuna fishery and sea stacks that reflect in crystalline waters. Castellammare del Golfo stands out for its natural harbor and understated elegance. San Vito Lo Capo welcomes you with its golden beaches and bright Mediterranean spirit. A thoughtfully designed itinerary that blends sea, nature, and culture, offering a new and refined way to experience Sicily. You will define the itinerary together with our expert skipper, who will guide you in choosing the ideal route, always in full respect of weather conditions and seasonal characteristics, to ensure a safe and smooth sailing experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Non-EU residents must provide adequate health insurance for themselves and guests
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €372 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Which area will we cruise?
Cruising takes place around the Egadi Islands, with a possible extension to the Aeolian Islands on charters of at least 14 days. The exact route always depends on the captain's assessment of sea and weather conditions.
How many hours a day will we sail?
Daily navigation averages no more than about six hours. The charter starts and ends at the base in Trapani regardless of where you board or step off.
What does the captain do, and who decides the route?
A qualified captain handles the navigation, manoeuvres and mooring, and follows your wishes for the itinerary whenever sea and weather conditions allow it safely. If guests repeatedly ignore the rules, the captain may return to the home port and end the charter.
Are there things we're not allowed to do on board?
Please don't carry passengers or goods for payment, run any commercial activity, take part in regattas or nautical events, keep narcotics on board, or exceed the boat's certified maximum number of people.
What happens if there's a breakdown at sea?
Tell us straight away and don't attempt repairs without our approval. If an engine or core system failure keeps you from using the boat for more than 12 hours within territorial waters, we'll let you recover the lost hours or give a proportional credit; minor gear like the fridge, tender, log or windlass isn't covered.
When is the best time to sail in Italy?
May–October, warm and settled in summer; July–August are hottest and busiest, with afternoon thermal breezes common.
