Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Yacht is covered with Kasko deductible franchises up to the deposit amount according to the Price List for the current year, including damages from third parties. Damages must be immediately reported to Charter company or Insurance company.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~90 HP engines burn roughly 7.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 151 L ≈ €282 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Are pets allowed on board?
No, pets such as cats and dogs are not allowed on board.
Where am I allowed to sail?
You may sail only within Croatian territorial waters. Sailing beyond them is allowed only with a signed permit from us and any other required documents.
Is there a weather limit on sailing?
Yes. You should sail only in safe conditions with good visibility, up to a maximum of Force 6, and adjust your sailing to the weather and your crew's ability. Never leave port if authorities have banned departure or if essential safety equipment isn't working.
Are there activities the boat can't be used for?
You may not take part in regattas or races without our written permit, tow another vessel except in emergencies, run a commercial passenger service, or hire out the yacht. Only people on the crew list may be on board, up to the boat's designated capacity.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are forbidden inside the cabins.
