Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Charterer shall carry independent insurance for Personal Effects whilst on board or ashore and for any Medical or Accident expenses incurred. Cancellation and Curtailment insurance is not included in Agreement
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €372 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can I bring a pet on board?
Pets and other animals are only allowed on board with our written consent in advance, so please ask before you book if you'd like to bring one.
How many hours a day will we be sailing?
Time under way is limited to a maximum of six hours per day, and never more than eight, at the captain's discretion. Night navigation isn't permitted unless the captain decides it's needed to avoid bad weather.
What does the captain and crew do?
We provide a professional, uniformed crew. The captain follows your reasonable wishes on where and how to cruise, weather and safety permitting, and gives you the same care as if you were the owner.
Can we use the watersports equipment freely?
The captain may stop anyone from using a piece of watersports equipment if they aren't competent, lack the required speedboat license, or are behaving in a way that risks others. A speedboat license is required.
What happens if the yacht breaks down during our trip?
If a breakdown stops you reasonably using the yacht, we'll refund the charter fee for the lost time, or by mutual agreement extend your charter. If it can't be repaired within 48 hours you can end the charter and we'll refund the unused portion.
