About this boat
Short island-to-island hops in the Ionian's sheltered channels suit a big group happy to swap sailing thrills for stability, with the reliable midday breeze filling in for an afternoon sail. Onboard AC keeps things bearable through the heat, while short hops leave time ashore for easy meals between islands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Do I need to prove my sailing experience?
For a bareboat charter we ask for your sailing credentials in advance, and the port authorities may request a sailing experience declaration for the skipper and co-skipper. If any doubt about your sailing skills comes up during the handover, we reserve the right to ask you to take a professional skipper on board.
Can you provide a skipper or other crew?
Yes, we can arrange a professional skipper, and a hostess or cook on request. Please note that crew need their own cabin and must be provided with daily meals (or the equivalent cost) for the duration of their service.
Whose job is it to watch the weather?
You are responsible for keeping track of the upcoming weather and planning your sailing to keep the crew and yacht safe. If you sail in harsh conditions you do so at your own risk, and the coastguard may charge for any needless callout caused by a lack of seamanship.
What happens if I bring the yacht back late?
Please return the yacht to the agreed place and time and factor the weather into your plans. Extra charges apply for a late return, as set out in your charter agreement.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
April–October, hot and dry with the strong northerly Meltemi wind peaking in July–August, especially across the Cyclades.
