Agios Isidoros

Agios Isidoros — also called Parángali by locals — is one of Chios's most scenic anchorages, where you drop the hook off a picturesque bay with clear, calm water. The setting is quietly beautiful, backed by low hills and a small beach that feels well away from the busier parts of the island. The area takes its name from Saint Isidore, an Egyptian Christian sailor martyred on Chios in 251 AD, so there's a genuine historical thread running through this tranquil spot.
