Alum Bay Beach

Drop anchor off Alum Bay and you're treated to one of the Isle of Wight's most dramatic settings — multicoloured sand cliffs striped with quartz, felspar and mica towering above a shingle beach. It's a genuinely jaw-dropping spot, with the famous Needles chalk stacks just around the headland and a chairlift running down the cliffs if you want to head ashore and explore.
