Saranda Anchorage

Drop anchor in the open gulf of the Ionian Sea right off Saranda, a lively Albanian coastal city draped across a hillside in the far south of the country. The setting is striking — you're looking at a crescent of waterfront backed by mountains, with the Greek island of Corfu sitting just a few kilometres across the water. From here you can easily dinghy ashore to explore the bustling promenade, the ancient ruins of Butrint nearby, and a town that's grown into one of Albania's most visited spots.
