Anse de Grande Saline

Anse de Grande Saline sits on St. Barth's south coast, tucked between mountains on either side with dunes backing the beach — secluded, wild, and mostly off the radar. Anchoring here depends heavily on conditions: it's ideal with northeast winds on a calm day, but a southeast breeze makes it impossible and the exposed swell can leave you rolling uncomfortably. Watch for rocks on the right side of the bay as you approach. When it works, it really works — sandy bottom holds well and you'll have one of the most dramatic natural settings on the island almost to yourself.
