Anse du Fontaulé

Drop anchor in this scenic bay just outside Banyuls-sur-Mer, a charming seaside town right on the Spanish border in the south of France. The water is clear and the setting quietly beautiful, with the rugged Pyrenean coastline rolling down to meet the sea. If you feel like stretching your legs, the coastal trail to Cerbère is one of the best hikes in the area — about 4.3 miles with great elevation and views.
