Armenis Bay sits on the western flank of Thirasia, Santorini's quieter neighbour, where you can pick up a mooring buoy for around €50 a night with the dramatic caldera cliffs as your backdrop. It's a world away from the chaos of the main Santorini anchorages, and from here you can hop on the local ferry to Fira for just €1 a head. The tiny port village of Korfos is a short walk away, with a handful of tavernas serving fresh fish right on the waterfront.
