Drop the hook in this large, sheltered anchorage on Waiheke's northern coast, where a beautiful sandy beach lines the shore and a well-regarded winery sits tantalizingly close by. Anchor around 36°47.368S / 175°09.487E in roughly 4m of water, but don't venture too far out — there's likely a rock slab beneath that's foiled plenty of attempts to set a hook further from shore. It's a rare combo of good holding, good wine, and good beach all in one spot.
