Banje

The 'Banje' anchorage sits just outside Šibenik, one of the oldest native Croatian cities on the Adriatic, founded in the early medieval period rather than by Greek or Roman colonists. You drop the hook here and you're within easy reach of the dramatic St. James's Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the old town's winding stone streets, and the fortress of St. Michael perched above it all. The setting at the Krka River mouth gives the approach a distinctly wild, estuarine feel that sets it apart from typical open-coast anchorages.
