Barbate Anchorage

A solid Atlantic anchorage off the small fishing town of Barbate, with 4–10m depths over a sandy bottom that holds well in most conditions. You'll want to keep a close eye on the forecast here — the Levante wind can build fast through the Strait of Gibraltar and this coast offers limited protection when it does. That said, on a calm day it's a genuinely atmospheric spot, with the whitewashed town, the marshes of the Barbate Natural Park, and easy access to some of the best bluefin tuna in Spain just ashore.
