Bärö Marina
Bärö marina sits on a small island in the Kumlinge archipelago, and it's a genuinely characterful spot — the former coastguard station here has been converted into a restaurant and hotel, so you eat and sleep right where the action used to be. Keep an eye out for the striking 40-metre observation tower that rises above the island and is hard to miss from the water. The whole place has a remote, end-of-the-world feel that's rare even by Åland standards, and the marina is known for being well-run and fairly priced.
