Björkskärs skärgård
Björkskärs skärgård is a four-island archipelago out in the Stockholm outer archipelago, made up of Björkskär (also known as Västerskär), Bodskär, Ljusskär and Långskär, plus a scatter of smaller skerries between them. Unusually for such a remote spot, the islands belong administratively to Lidingö stad despite sitting in Värmdö municipality — a quirk dating back to a land transfer in the late 1700s. You anchor off here and take in the raw, open-sea feel of the outer skärgård.
