Buitenhaven

Buitenhaven is a large outer harbour on the edge of Hoorn, offering mooring buoys across a spacious basin with plenty of room to breathe. The sanitary facilities are notably new and clean, which makes a real difference after a few nights at sea. It has a working, open-water feel rather than a manicured marina vibe, and Hoorn's beautifully preserved historic centre — one of the best in the Netherlands — is just a 10-minute walk away.
