Cala Boix

Cala Boix is a striking bay on Ibiza's eastern coast where unusually dark sand meets crystal-clear, light-coloured water — a contrast you won't find at most of the island's beaches. Drop anchor off the bay and you're surrounded by tall cliffs and fragrant pine forest rolling right down to the shore, giving it a secluded, almost dramatic feel. Go early if you can — it's a popular spot and the calm, shallow waters make it well worth the effort.
