Cala di Libeccio

Cala di Libeccio is a small, sheltered bay on the Sinis Peninsula near Cabras, named after the libeccio — the southwest wind that defines this stretch of Sardinian coastline. You're looking at a raw, largely undeveloped cove backed by low scrub and quartz-white sand typical of the Sinis area, where the geology produces some of the most distinctive beaches in the Mediterranean. The surrounding peninsula is home to the ancient Phoenician-Punic city of Tharros just a few kilometers south, making this a great base for combining a beach day with serious archaeology.
