Cala di Roto
Cala di Roto sits on the south-eastern side of Budelli Island, tucked near the Strait of Bonifacio in northern Sardinia. It's best known for its Spiaggia Rosa — a beach tinted unmistakably pink thanks to centuries of crushed coral, shell fragments, and red organism deposits mixed into the sand. The bay is framed by pine woods and lapped by crystalline turquoise water, with the dramatic silhouette of Isola Tavolara visible on the horizon. Note that the pink beach is now protected and you can look but not set foot on it — or take a single grain of sand.
