Drop anchor off this achingly pretty little village on Knapdale's west coast, where the Crinan Canal meets the sea. You're right at the head of Loch Crinan, with the eccentric and much-loved Crinan Hotel perched on the waterfront — worth a visit for a drink and the views alone.
