Cumberland Bay

✨ Hidden gem

Cumberland Bay is a protected anchorage on Saint Vincent's leeward coast, tucked into a lush, volcanic landscape that makes it one of the more striking spots to drop the hook in the Grenadines. The surrounding hills are dense with tropical greenery, and the small fishing community of Barrouallie nearby gives you a genuine slice of local life rather than a tourist setup. Head just outside the bay for decent snorkeling in clearer water, and keep an eye out for the local whalers — Barrouallie is one of the last places in the Caribbean with an active small-scale whaling tradition.
