Hafen Wieck (bei Greifswald)

Tucked along the Ryck river just outside Greifswald, Wieck is a charming, historically layered little harbour where the star attraction is the wooden bascule bridge built in 1887, still in operation and iconic to the whole area. The harbour office and guest accommodation sit right on the north bank, making it easy to get sorted when you arrive. It caters mostly to smaller vessels and has a genuine working-port feel rather than a polished marina vibe — fishing tradition runs deep here. The old town of Greifswald with its Gothic cathedral and lively university scene is just a short ride away.
