Hardbakke

Hardbakke is the main hub of Solund Municipality, tucked on the west side of a sheltered island in the outer Sognefjord archipelago — one of the most dramatic stretches of Norway's coast. Drop anchor here and you're well-placed to explore a genuine working Norwegian village that sees far fewer outsiders than the big fjord destinations. It's notably one of the few places along this stretch where you can get a boat hauled out, making it a practical as well as scenic stop.
