Jachthaven Schiermonnikoog
Tucked on the south side of Schiermonnikoog, this historic little harbour dates back to 1927 and was once the island's main port. You can only get in at high tide with a max draft of 1.4m, and if easterly winds have been blowing for a while, expect slightly less water than that — so plan your approach carefully. Once in, you're right on one of the most car-free and unspoiled of the Dutch Wadden Islands, which makes the effort well worth it.
