Kårö sits at the very end of the road in Loftahammar's outer archipelago — as far as the tarmac goes before the open sea takes over. Drop anchor here and you're surrounded by a place where a small island that once had no land connection got its bridge only in 1912, and that sense of quiet remoteness still lingers. The blooming gardens and scattered islets make this one of those rare spots where you feel genuinely away from it all.
