Kioni

Kioni is a quietly stunning village tucked into a steep, pine-covered hillside on the northeastern coast of Ithaca, where you drop anchor in the sheltered bay and take in rows of pastel-coloured houses tumbling down to the waterfront. The village itself is small and unhurried, with a handful of tavernas and cafes lining the quay that locals and wanderers share equally. It sits in Ithaca's northern half alongside the nearby villages of Frikes and Stavros, making it a great base for exploring some of the island's most traditional and least-commercialised communities.
