Marathias

Marathias is a quiet anchorage tucked along the eastern Ionian coastline, where you drop the hook off a rugged, largely undeveloped stretch of shore. The surroundings feel genuinely off the beaten track, with the hills of Aitoloakarnania rolling behind you and the sheltered waters of the bay keeping things calm. The town of Astakos is close enough to dinghy ashore for supplies or a meal at one of its waterfront tavernas.
