Visiting by boat

Marciana Marina sits on the northwest coast of Elba, Italy's laid-back Tuscan island, and is the smallest municipality on the whole island — a genuinely compact, characterful town rather than a purpose-built marina sprawl. You'll find yourself steps from a seafront lined with centuries-old buildings and a Torre Medicea, the old watchtower that's kept watch over this bay for hundreds of years. The town has two small beaches and a relaxed local atmosphere that feels nothing like the bigger Elban ports.
