Seaport Marina IJmuiden is a large, modern facility right at the North Sea entrance to the North Sea Canal — one of the busiest shipping corridors in Europe, so the backdrop alone is something else. Box moorings accommodate vessels up to 12 meters (just follow the green signs to dock in), and the marina is well-kept with wide berths that make maneuvering easy. You're a short walk from IJmuiden's fish market and the massive sea locks, and a bus stop sits less than 200 meters away if you want to head into Velsen or beyond.
