Marine Watersport Vereniging (MWV)

Run by the Dutch Navy's sports association, MWV is a members' club with a real salt-of-the-sea character that also welcomes visiting yachts — you get one of around 45–47 berths, all with electricity and water hookups. It sits right in Den Helder, which means you're close to the Rijksmuseum Den Helder and the historic naval harbour, with Texel just a short ferry hop across the Marsdiep. A solid, no-frills base with genuine maritime atmosphere behind it.
