Megali Myzithra

Megali Myzithra is an anchorage spot along the southern coast of Zakynthos, sitting within the Bay of Laganas — a stretch of water famous for being a protected nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). You drop anchor off here and get a front-row seat to one of the most ecologically significant marine areas in the Mediterranean, so keep an eye out for turtles surfacing around the boat. The surrounding coastline is largely undeveloped, keeping the setting raw and natural rather than touristy.
