Ovnskjær Anchorage

Ovnskjær is a sheltered anchorage tucked into the outer Oslofjord near the mouth of the Glomma, one of Norway's great rivers. You drop the hook here with easy access to Fredrikstad, a town with one of the best-preserved fortress towns in Scandinavia — the 17th-century Old Town is worth the short trip in by dinghy. The setting is classic outer fjord, with a mix of skerries and open water giving the place a raw, unhurried feel.
