Passe Arikitamiro Anchorage

Passe Arikitamiro is the eastern pass into Makemo Atoll, and you can drop the hook here after navigating the channel — but keep a close eye on conditions. The current through the pass can be manageable, though SE winds have a nasty habit of turning this anchorage uncomfortable fast, leaving you on a lee shore with little margin. It's raw, exposed atoll sailing — rewarding when the timing is right, demanding when it isn't.
