Piazza Consiglio Harbour

Piazza Consiglio is the heart of Sciacca, a historic Sicilian town on the southwest coast, and the square itself dates its current form to 1823 when the Austrians gave it a makeover — including the town's only fountain. It has a quietly proud, unhurried feel, with the old architecture and local life making it well worth dropping anchor and heading ashore to explore.
