Plage des Salins
Drop anchor off Plage des Salins, a wilder, quieter stretch of sand sitting about 7km east of Saint-Tropez town and just north of the famous Pampelonne beach. Unlike Pampelonne's scene, this beach has a genuinely unhurried feel, backed by salt marshes and pine trees rather than beach clubs. A long-standing beach restaurant has been serving grilled fish and Italian dishes right on the sand since 1977, so you're not roughing it entirely.
