Politikou Nosokomeiou Square
This anchorage sits in the heart of Nafplio's historic Psaromahalas quarter, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Greece's first modern capital. Just steps away is the tiny Byzantine church of Agia Sofia — the only Byzantine church within Nafplio — and the square itself marks the site of what was historically the first hospital established in Greece, founded for the poor. It's a surprisingly layered spot for somewhere you simply drop the hook.
