Port de Porquerolles

Drop anchor off Porquerolles, a largely car-free island that's been protected as a national park since 1963 — keeping its pine forests, wild clifftops and turquoise bays remarkably unspoiled. The island is 7 km long with a charming village a short dinghy ride away, where you'll find restaurants, a vineyard or two, and sandy beaches that feel genuinely remote despite being just offshore from Hyères. It's one of those rare places on the French Riviera that hasn't been overdeveloped.
