Port Zélande sits on the Kabbelaarsbank plateau in the middle of the Brouwersdam, the dam linking Goeree-Overflakkee to Schouwen-Duiveland — a genuinely unusual setting that puts you right on the boundary between the Grevelingenmeer and the North Sea. It's a large, well-run marina with clean sanitary facilities and a 24-hour launderette, and you can pick up supplies at the on-site supermarket if you hold a permanent berth. Just over the dijk at Brouwersdam, the conditions are legendary for kiteboarding, so it's worth sticking around if that's your thing.
