Porto di Favignana

You drop anchor off Favignana, the largest of the Egadi Islands, in a spot that sits almost dead center along the northeast-facing coast between Punta Faraglione and Punta San Nicola. The island has a laid-back, sun-bleached charm — around 5,000 locals call it home, and the small town with its historic port is easily reached from the anchorage. It's a great base for exploring the island's famous crystal-clear coves and the old tuna processing plant turned museum.
